TAMTAMTAM present JA JA JA NE NE NE - Chapter I

Thanks to everyone who came down to witness TAMTAMTAM officially taking up residency with Chapter 1: How to Reside. The collective spread into 8 rooms on the upper floor and presented an evening flooded with the experiential. Visitors were greeted by Sarah Lewis and Jessica Taylor and instantly handed a task, that once
read, had to be instantly completed. Maybe that`s an explantion for the headstands, the singing, people introducing themselves to each other. Then again maybe not. Each room invited participation, challenging the convention of the traditional "please don`t touch" gallery space.

Hands On, was a haptic playground full of origami paper, modeling clay, a sewing machine beging you to create. And once you´d dropped a coin into the photo booth it somehow magically produced a beautifully illustrated portrait. It`s On presented by Cue, formed the ultimate jam session, a room with microphone, guitars,
a mixer, a projector, a laptop allowing you to make the music, the video and the atmosphere yourself: "No programme: don?t bring any expectations, uncertainty is welcome. Mistakes are moments of opportunity. Just come. Just play".
Have a look here.

Random Association room, was replete with typewriter, paper, pens, chalk to let out those poems that drift inside you and to finally get out those TV tower-Marmelade-Red Stripe thoughts onto paper. John Erik Jordan`s Dream Machine, combined spinnng light with
remnants of Beethoven played on distored vinyl at 33, 45 or 78. And finally the Interview Room where artists Dmitry Paranyushkin and Diego Agullo interogated, reassured and listened to exactly what you had to tell.
