Erdenlied
Erdenlied

The name for Erdenlied, one of Astor Wines' more popular Austrian private wine labels, is based on the Austrian composer Gustav Mahler's "Das Lied Der Erde". As a result, the design of the label reflects this name, taking inspiration from the artists and designers of the Wiener Werkstatte, contemporaries of Mahler in Vienna in the early 1900's.
The flower motifs on the labels take their queues from the wine inside the bottle - the Zweigelt features a cheerful Morning Glory, the Riesling a delicate Edelweiss, while the Gruner Veltliner features a bright and approachable Black-Eyed Susan. The wines themselves are all sourced from the Austrian Durnberg Winery.
