The quality of loose leaf tea in comparison to supermarket tea bags is superior by it's freshness and size of leaves- this needs no explanation. Ladies and getelmen tea lovers however make their own choice drinking the tea they love the most.
Amsterdam based Tea Bar investigated the different criteria men and women make in choosing their tea. Tea Bar noticed that more than three-quarter (78%) of the men prefer a spicy tea with spices like cinnamon and cloves, or a green tea containing citrus.
Women can be temted with pleasant herbal melanges, aromatised tea with hints of fresh red fruits. When men choose a tea and like it, they stick with it, while women tend to be more adventurous. More than half (56%) of women take home a previously unfamiliar tea after visiting Tea Bar.
According to Tea Bar the growth of tea drinking men is linked to the awareness of the health risks associated with drinking too much coffee. Men prefer drinking coffee at work improving their productivity, while at home they drink tea or a herbal mix for relaxion.
Based on this information Teab Bar selected tea collections for men and women. The Ladies and Gents teapacks contain the most popular Tea Bar teas and are designed in cooperation with Proud Design, an Amsterdam based packing design agency. Both teapacks contain ablack and green tea and herbal mix.
Since its establishment in 2008 Tea Bar more than 100 sortes of tea and herbal mixes in it's collection. The assortment is choosen by the customers and assembled twice a year to make up the winter and summer collections.
In the store you can scoop your tea yourself and in the entresol you can enjoy a cup of tea or a cupcake. Tea Bar founders Sara Verner (33) and Fenje Bolt (32) look to make tea as enjoyable as possible for you with exciting tastes alongside beautiful tea accessories. Their store located in Haarlemmerdijk 71 in Amsterdam is truly tea heaven.
