Background: I have studied at the Academy of modern Arts in Nürnberg Graphic-Design at Professor Girst/Felten. Joachim Bendt and Ecke Bonk with profession on illustration and photography. I live and work in Wassertrüdingen am Hesselberg in Franconia in Bavaria. Most of my work is Editorial Illustration for Newspapers and Magazins like Stern, Focus, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Hamburger Abendblatt, Zeit e.g. .
The Idea: I live and work aware in the country in Franconia (Bavaria) with the own franconia dialect. At Lunchtime the people greet the other with the word „Mahlzeit“. I studied the significance and their original signification. After this I made 24 illutrations about this Theme pool, eaten, be aeten, hunger, hungry, full, fastfood, slowfood.
Technique: My Illustrationproject called „Malzeit“ is a series with 24 pieces of Illustrations in objectframes wit the measurement (width: 50 cm height: 60 cm depth 5 cm). The illustration are computer illustrations exposed on photopaper and the essential idea-Element as an extra Object in every Objectframe. There are also an information board with the explanation of this project with it.
