Villars
Villars

The work context: This packaging project is a fictive work that I made at school in 2008 during my first year of design studies.
The client: Chocolat Villars is a traditional chocolate factory based in Switzerland. They have made chocolate since 1901 and present themselves as master chocolatiers.
The client’s brief: Chocolat Villars will open a new store in Paris where they will sell boxes of luxurious Swiss chocolate. Because they will open the shop in December, they want to sell a special series of Christmas chocolate boxes.
My choices: I chose to work on something special with the opening of the packaging and to have a subjective pattern on the outside. The moment when you unwrap the chocolate is, for me, very important. That’s what make everything luxurious and increases the feeling of opening something precious.
It’s like opening a jewelry box. The outside of the packaging does not reveal a lot about the chocolate itself in order to be like a gift, and again, emphasize the moment of the opening and discovery.
About me: I’m a junior web designer and developer front-end currently based Switzerland. I specially work in the web field but I am also passionate by the way you will discover an object, the way you will manipulate it and why you like it. I’m just ending my studies at the eikon EMF, a school of multimedia and communication.
I love to travel and learn things like languages, different cultures etc.
