Inés Lauber – The Secret Garden

Food culture is a reflection of our society and a manifestation of the zeitgeist. The designer Inés Lauber uses food as both a source of inspiration and as a working material. Communal and emotional aspects as well as sensual experience are central to her work. Inés Lauber creates concepts for the food culture of tomorrow.
Project: The temporary cocktail club 'The Secret Garden' is a room installation and a culinary experience.
It is a performative interpretation of the image of a surreal, enchanted garden inviting guests to be part of a wondrous world, a horticultural experience. The food and drinks are inspired by wild herbs, berries and flowers found in gardens around Berlin. The concept of 'harvesting' is a central pillar of the exhibition. Guests are actively involved, becoming part of the installation by picking the delicacies presented in the secret garden while simultaneously being served.
