M. Foschi & A. Gemignani – FUGU – A taste to die for

Marcella Foschi and Alice Gemignani lived parallel lives attending the same Universities and living in the same cities for years, but never coming across to each other. They finally met two years ago in Milan in a Master Degree in Communication Design and it was like they knew each other since the beginning. Marcella's knowledge are about industrial design and food culture, Alice's are in visual arts and graphics.
Fugu, an art magazine about food and death, is just their first outstanding project together.
Project: We eat food to stay alive, but what nourishes us destroys us at the same time. Food comes from the death of others, food itself dies and goes muddy.
Our death generates a swarming of life and we as deads are food. We eat food to celebrate life, we eat food to commemorate dead people.
Food creates relations, conveys stories, it is a medium between the living and the dead. Food says who we are.
