Sarah Schrof is an artist living in Stuttgart. After studying at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart, her work focuses on a processual translation of emotional reactions to nature.

In her artistic practice she explores symbiotic relationships between invisible and visible worlds. Organic and compliant materials that have their origins in a textile context give Schrof’s works a sensual expression. They serve as a medium to enter into dialogue with inside and outside, made and given

Her modelings of colour and form are interpretations of natural systems such as cloud formations, landscape phenomena or lichen organisms. Schrof’s approach demonstrates how we perceive the world when we listen to what we cannot see and see what we cannot hear.
