Aino Nebel

 Back to Artists

Experimentally – and not pre-planned in terms of craftsmanship or aesthetics – Aino Nebel approaches the mostly ceramic material from which she makes her objects.

Important to the sculptor is the exploration of the form behavior of the material, especially of porcelain. In doing so, she partially relinquishes control, letting the materials work and form themselves. The creative forces of the consistencies from liquid to hard appear. The heat of the kiln also has a visible effect, the objects are fired many times, partly overfired.
