Aufgabe Null is a studio for functional and artistic design. For Hilaria von Saldern and Nikita von Saldern versatile perspectives and a transdisciplinary understanding of their surrounding informs their practice. While their work often contains notions of critique or irony it always primarily constitutes propositions. The duo purposefully challenges limitations as they value the opportunity of creating original projects higher than the risk of failing.
As if predetermined by their architectural studies, the works of Hilaria von Saldern and Nikita von Saldern oscillate between functionality and end in itself. The always bilaterally developed works of Aufgabe Null have been presented in Milan as part of the Salone del Mobile and at Paris Design Week. Renowned publications such as Architectural Digest and DEAR have reported on the studio.
