Jan Hooss lives and works as a stucco artist and sculptor in Stuttgart.

 

 

He trained as a stucco sculptor with Manfred Siller and Xaver Mahler from 1984 and went on to study sculpture with Giuseppe Spagnulo and Karl-Henning Seemann at the Stuttgart State Academy of Fine Arts.

 

 

Since 2008, Jan Hooss has taught stucco sculpture at various academies, such as the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Stuttgart and the HfBK in Dresden. The design and exhibition work of the artist Jan Hooss covers a broad spectrum and ranges from numerous works in various public castles, museums, and galleries around the world, to projects for international companies, such as DDG Partners in New York City, to the design of private residences, such as the Chateau Miraval in France of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
