Polish designer Sara Gackowska makes brooches and necklaces from hematite and silver, amber and coal as well as from porcelain. Her unique designs examine the aesthetics of metamorphosis, brokenness and the seemingly unfinished. In this way, her objects never stay unseen on their wearer.
After her studies of jewelry design at Saimaa University of Applied Arts, at Koszalin, Gdansk and of cultural management at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Gackowska exhibited her jewelry in different places inside and outside of Poland: They were visible through the LOEWE Craft Prize at London Craft Week and are part of the Ceramic Museums' collection in spanish Valencia. Her collection TRANSFORMATION was part of an exhibition at Gothar Lothar Atelier in Munich.
