Sarah Pschorn is a visual artist and experimental object maker based in Leipzig/Germany. Her inventive ceramic vessels impress through their coherence and powerful radiance of form and vivid ornament.
Pschorn works mostly in the field of contemporary ceramics, installation and photography. Born in Dresden she has studied ceramic art at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle and at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. Pschorn sees her work as a playful discovery of the space between the joy and melancholia, the vessels being receptacles for her ideas, that perform and communicate them in lots of different ways. The artist compares her objects to different items of clothing and particularly to their interaction with the bodies that they dress. Every vessel is therefore individual: a body covered with garments of different colors, materials and structure.
