Deutsche Manufakturenstraße

The “Deutsche Manufakturenstraße” (German Manufactory Road) brings together the best of German manufactories and arts and crafts on an online platform. It maps manufactories by location, craft, and product type, inviting visitors to discover manufactories, artisans, museums, galleries, and regional shops. The Manufakturenstraße publishes the “Red List” every year, a red list of endangered crafts. It is the first archive of its kind in Germany that evaluates traditional crafts according to the likelihood of their survival into the next generation.

Manufakturen Guide

The comprehensive guide to manufacturers and artisans presents the best manufacturers, designers, and art workshops in Germany.
The guide is designed as a series of books, each focusing on manufacturers in a specific German region. The guides are intended to enable discoveries and serve as a compendium of creativity and quality craftsmanship in Germany. The guides track down what you no longer come across by chance in stores: rare crafts, better product alternatives, insider tips, and the next generation of forward-looking manufacturing start-ups.
