Becker attempts to design sustainable pieces, which means in the first instance durable products with long life-cycles. According to him, durability means not only flawless functioning but especially emotional durability, which is most difficult to create.
If every product had the ability to outlast for more than one generation, this would already have a huge impact on the contemporary consumer society, which is the most desirable goal, he says.
