René Odermatt is a Zurich based designer who graduated from Zurich University of the Arts in 2016. After completing his studies, he established his own design agency.
René gained recognition in 2020 when he was awarded the Design Preis Schweiz for his innovative design of the home assistant, Caru. While his early career focused on technical industrial design, he has recently been expanding his repertoire to include more aesthetically driven objects. Alongside his professional endeavors, René is also a dedicated teacher at Zurich University of the Arts, where he shares his knowledge and instills the values of design and manufacturability in the younger generation.
