during World War II not only to store minted coins, but also to protect Berlin's State Museums art works from the threat of bomb damage. The Direktorenhaus is centrally located at 2 Am Krögel just between Alexanderplatz and the Nikolaiviertel directly next to the river Spree and enjoys a view of the old harbor.


A visit to the collection and the exhibitions is only possible through an advance reservation

for a guided tour through this website. The 1-hour-tours take place every weekend 

(Fr 2 pm to 4.30 pm, Sat/Sun 10 am to 4.30 pm). Each tour accomodates a maximum

of 15 participants.The admission fee is 7 EUR per person.
